Day 8

Prompt: Music Player
Design a music player. It could be browser based or an app (i.e. Pandora, Spotify, etc.) or in a standalone product like in a car dashboard, jukebox, etc. Consider the controls, placements, imagery such as the artist or album cover, etc. Also, consider the device type that's playing the music. A dashboard in a tour bus, a smartwatch, or via a web browser. Each device type will have different requirements, features, and restrictions to consider.

Solution
Creating a interface that appeals to the users current music preferences. Showing quick links to favourite playlists and songs, all in easy to view functionality. Clicking an album takes you straight to the streaming page with all the relevant options of play, pause, skip, share and favourites.

Day 7

Prompt: 404 error page
Design a 404 page - that's not boring!

Does it suit the brand's style? Is it user-friendly? It might sound mundane, but not everything can be flashy or glamorous. Every day millions of people will be landing on 404 pages. You have an opportunity to help them in a way that's useful and aesthetically pleasing. (It's up to you!)

Solution
Using Disny+ as my fake client, I gave a bit more life and info on the error page, incorporating the logo tweak to tie in with the wording. This follows suit with the current dark theme of the brand and not a stark white contrast

Day 6

Prompt: Settings
Design settings for something. Is it for security or privacy settings? Game settings? Light mode vs. dark mode? System settings (sound, notifications, screen time, Wi-Fi, etc.?
What is it and what are the most important settings?

Day 5

Prompt: User Profile
Design a user profile and be mindful of the most important data, names, imagery, placement, etc. Is it for a serious profile? A social profile? (It's up to you!)

Solution
Creation of a clean profile card for a designer on a design platform for freelance opportunities. Easy to see clear social links and a short bio. Main CTA’s at the bottom for the users to click on if they want to engage more with the designer

Day 4

Prompt: App Icon
Design an app icon. What best represents the brand or product? Or is it incredibly unique? Does it look great at a distance and does it stand out when put on your home screen alongside other apps?

Solution
I decided to recreate an already existing brand, audible. Combining headphones and a book icon, I was able to create a simple but strong brand identity. The logo has also the perspective of someone holding a book, which adds to its brand power. Both were recreated for Apple and Android platforms.

Day 3

Prompt: Calculation
Design a calculation element or interface. Is it a standard calculator, a scientific one, or specialty calculator for something such as a home mortgage or auto loan? Is it to forecast a calculation such as for a credit score? Is it for a phone, a tablet, a web app?

Day 2

Prompt: Landing Page
What's the main focus? Is it for a book, an album, a mobile app, a SaaS product? Consider important landing page elements (Headlines, call-to-action buttons, typography, clarity, etc.)

Day 1

Prompt: Credit Card Checkout
Design a credit card checkout form or page. Don't forget the important elements such as the numbers, dates, security numbers, etc.
